Side Effect of Insulin For Diabetes Patients

Diabetes patients especially those with type 1 diabetes need to inject insulin so as to survive. However, with time passing by, more and more patients realize that insulin has side effects, which goes as follows. (And in addition, in the last of the article, we will introduce a new therapy which can treat diabetes and has no side effect. )
1. Low blood sugar
Low blood sugar is the main side effects, which may even threaten diabetic patienst lives. So we must control the amount and put some sugar or sweet biscuit in the pocket for low blood sugar can take place after we take strenuous exercise or when the injection amount of insulin is not enough.
2. increased body weight
It is also a side effect which is commonly seen. Insulin can promote the combination of protein and fat. So if patients with diabetes do not control the intake of heat, the body weight will increase. In this case, the injection of insulin of will increase, which causes vicious circle.
3. edema or swelling
Edema or swelling can lead to slight retention of water and sodium, some of which appear in the face and limbs of the patients with diabetes.
4. allergic reaction
Allergic reaction usually takes place in those who inject insulin abstracted from animals. Rash or itch appears in the injection place. What’s worse, some may even suffer shock.
5. atrophic basting fat
Atrophic basting fast is also mostly seem in diabetics with animal insulin injection. In addition, it is usually seen in the first place where patients inject insulin.
6. resistance of insulin
Patient who inject insulin for a long time will show resistance in the body.
Last but not least, considering the side effects of insulin, we will introduce a new therapy: stem cell therapy. For diabetic patients, pancreas islet β cells are damaged, which leads to insufficient secretion of insulin. In this case, the blood sugar will increase. If this can not be treated or controlled well, it will lead to systematic disorder and a series of complications will occur as well. Stem cells can repair the damaged pancreas islet β cells, thus recovering the function of insulin. In this case, the secretion of insulin can turn normal and diabetes can recover consequently.
